Once a leave application has been submitted, it can’t be amended. If you need to make changes, you will need to cancel the application and submit a new application. Â
Open and closed leave applications can be cancelled by an employer within Online Services. To guide employers through the cancellation process, we have created a digital leave hub, complete with a Quick Guide video and FAQs.
To commence the process Â
Log into Online Services Â
Go to the Leave Applications tab  Â
Click on the relevant tab – Open, Pending, Closed Â
Search for the application you want to cancel and click on the case number Â
Select the Request Cancellation button Â
If an application is under review by Coal LSL, the request cancellation button will not be available. In that instance you can send a case message or simply wait for the status to change.Â

Complete the declaration and Request Cancellation.
Depending on the application status, the outcome could be different.   Â
Open Leave Applications:Â
if the application hasn’t yet been assigned to a Coal LSL officer, cancellation is immediate, and the application will be moved to the ‘Closed’ tab with a ‘Cancelled’ status.Â
 Closed Leave Applications:Â
the cancellation request will be reviewed by a Coal LSL officer and the application will appear under ‘Pending Cancellation’ tab. Once it is reviewed it will be moved the ‘Closed’ tab with a ‘Cancelled’ status. Any monies paid in relation to closed cases may result in return of those funds.Â
Once the application status is ‘Cancelled’, you can submit a new application for similar dates. Â
