Our Online Services platform makes it easy for employers to submit a leave application. While employers are still required to obtain a written application from the employee, they no longer need to provide Coal LSL with a copy at the time of submitting the application.
To guide employers through the leave application process, we have created a digital leave hub, complete with a Quick Guide video and FAQs, as well as updating our existing How To Guides.
All leave applications are submitted via Online Services. This streamlined submission process allows us to ensure all sensitive data submitted as part of your refund request is safe and secure within our platform.
All leave applications are submitted through Online Services. This secure platform ensures sensitive information is protected while making the process faster and more efficient.
To submit a leave application, you’ll need to: 
Be registered as a user of Online Services Â
Have the correct Leave Applications access permissions Â
Adding users and setting up their access can only be done by account managers. Please see more on how to manage users or speak with your account manager for access.
Once set up with the relevant access in Online Services, you can submit an application by completing these steps:
Log into Online Services
Go to the Leave Applications tab
Click Create New Applications and select the appropriate leave application type
Choose the correct employee from the list provided
Click Start
Review and confirm employee contact details
Update any pre-filled contact details if needed as we will use these details to keep employees informed
Click Confirm Details
Enter leave application details such as dates and hours requested
If you would like to track the application with your internal systems, use the optional information fields
Complete the declaration and Submit the application
All relevant leave applications are available within the Leave Applications tab. Simply select the correct leave application form from the drop-down menu (see step 3 outlined above). Â

If your employee’s leave application requires additional information, it will be flagged as ‘requires attention’ and you will receive a notification.
Coal LSL may decline your employee’s leave application if it cannot be processed because of data issues, or if there is insufficient leave available.
