At Coal LSL we connect eligible employees with their long service leave benefits. Part of our role is to ensure employees have access to the support they need to benefit from the LSL Scheme. In 2024, we answered over 41,000 calls from employees about their long service leave entitlements.
Below are the five most common questions asked by employees and their answers:
1. What is my long service leave accrual rate and entitlement date?
It depends on your specific circumstances and this information is best found by speaking with our friendly team via query@coallsl.com.au , calling us on 1300 852 625 or visiting our website . You can also request your leave balance through our online contact us form and we will get in touch with you.
2. What is the process of accessing my long service leave?
The leave application and payment processes are completed through your current or most recent employer in the industry. Learn more about the process of applying for long service leave here.
3. How can I find my long service leave balance?
You can check your long service leave balance anytime through the employee Self-service Portal. We can help you login if you’ve lost or forgotten your login details. Simply call our service team on 1300 852 625 and we can give you access. We are in the process of building a new employee self-service portal, so keep a look out for exciting changes and improvements. If you can’t see your leave balance when you log onto the employee self-service portal, you can email us or call us on 1300 852 625 from Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 5:00pm (AEST).
4. How do I find out my individual long service leave (LSL) number?
An individual LSL number is used for most interactions with Coal LSL including leave application forms, accessing the employee self-service portal, or updating your employer information. You can easily request your long service leave number by contacting our service team on 1300 852 625 or via query@coallsl.com.au. Alternatively, you can also request this information direct from your employer.
5. How do I check my statement of service balance?
If you want to check your recorded employment history to ensure it is up to date, you can request a statement of service balance from us by calling us on 1300 852 625 email us via query@coallsl.com.au.
