Administer long service leave

An employer has legal obligations, such as reporting all hours worked by each eligible employee monthly, making the respective levy payment into the scheme, and administering long service leave on behalf of their eligible employees.

Levy returns and payments

Employers are required to report on, and pay levies for, all hours worked for part-time and casual employees. Reporting is required monthly.

Leave applications and payments

Employers must submit long service leave applications to Coal LSL and pay for approved leave through their payroll. They can then claim reimbursement from the Fund.

Levies support

Coal LSL provides guidance and can arrange tailored training to support employers in complying with their long service leave obligations.
